Theia is, or should I say, was a rocky planet in The Solar system, until it crashed into The Earth over 4 billion years ago. Technically, it still exists in the form of the moon, but scientists think that Theia was roughly the size of Mars! No one knows what it looks like, but I once again drew what I think it looks like!

If a planet crashes into another planet in a solar system, then scientifically it's considered a rogue planet bcs of breaking it's orbit

Wait...you both are confusing me. How can Their be a planet if it collided with Earth? Doesn't that make it a comet? How can it be a moon if it isn't in our orbit?

Basically: Theia was a planet but because it lost most of its mass and got caught in Earth's gravitational pull, it became a moon. And comets are tiny asteroids made of ice and rock that fly really fast.

Well, a moon doesn't collide to a planet, at least not instantly... so no, it wasn't a moon to earth, just a planet that lost its mass

Yes it isn't a moon, just look at it's mass and size

I think it's more interesting that IF that planet existed, and IF it collided with Earth...that it provided much of Earth's water.
