It’s not about skin color, once again putting western values on the Islamic world. Ethnocentrism at its worst. The word “freedom” is not the same to both cultures. Islam teaches that if you follow Muhammad, you are free. Because every decision you could make, has already been made for you. Therefore you are free. The concept of “Free Will” will never be accepted, or adopted.
