The media portrayed George Floyd, the physical manifestation of "13% of the population but 50% of the crimes," as a victim, in order to distract the public from slowly but surely realizing that maybe the media outlets were blowing the Kung Flu out of proportion. If it were any other time, he probably would've just had his fifteen seconds of fame in the form of a Donut Operator episode.
