No, he was not an awful President. Especially when compared to his two predecessors, as well as his successor, not to mention the last two dunderheads we've had.

Ok fine we'll compromise - flawed person, horrendous president.
At the time I was more critical of him, but as the years go by, and I've learned more about the truth, I realize how good he was. One of my favorites too.
