That's a great way to put it. Decades ago, if you spanked your kids, you were just doing your job. Nowadays, if you spank your kids, you're seen as a vicious monster, and when the media tells the story, they leave out what the kid did that led to the spanking, just to make everyone feel sorry for.the kid (who may be the Spawn of.Satan for all we.know) and make the parent the enemy, even if that parent has tried everything else and nothing else has worked.
