Disney: Why doesn't anyone like mufasa? WE JUST SPENT 200 MILLION DOLLARS ON THAT!!!

People eventually will get tired of seeing certain characters again and again. Did anyone ask for a Lion King prequel? I highly doubt it.

Imho i don't mind to watch the same characters over and over again.
Besides i have grown up with them i can't just say i got tired of watching you.

Well Disney has reached an epidemic of trying to reach out to more of their adult fans and spend 200M on live action movies and sequels instead of adapting new universes and stories.

If they're overly focused on adult fans, that's probably because they're sick and tired of only making animated movies and the stigma of being a "kiddie movie studio" that comes with it.

Also, I don't consider this movie or the 2019 remake of The Lion King to be live-action movies. Both of them are almost 100% computer animation.

I don't think Disney should do only animated movies or only live-acrion movies, but a mixture of both. Also, I don't like the idea of Disney disrespecting NBA and NFL players by turning them into cartoonish caricatures to make live animated telecasts of NBA and NFL telecasts. I understand they're trying to appeal to younger viewers, but how do we know those younger viewers won't reject seeing the real deal when they get older?

Fun fact: Shadow The Hedgehog is played by Keanu Reeves, who also played Jack Traven in the action blockbuster Speed, which came out in theaters in 1994, the same year The Lion King came out in theaters. Also, Speed was distributed by 20th Century Fox, which was gobbled up by Disney in 2019, so now Speed and The Lion King are both Disney movies.
