It’s hard to actually decide. Bedrock is much buggier than Java and doesn’t really have mod support anymore. But on bedrock you can actually join your friends worlds without paying for a server or realms

You can create multiplayer worlds for free on Java too, you just need to do a bit of setup

I didn’t know that. I have both versions but I play on bedrock mostly for that reason, I’ll definitely try that

Yeah my friend got me both for an early Christmas gift and I love both. Why is there even a debate on it?

Because java and bedrock have the dumbest differences (like redstone and features and mutliplayer) ever and u cant even play multiplayer between them without geyser

Bedrock seems to be angry if one of us’s versions are off by 0.000000000000001

Java’s essential also does the same thing and gets angry with mods too

But if there is a bedrock host then the Java player (as long as they are on the same version which with snapshots is annoying) can join

Thats not how it works java and bedrock cant join each other

They can I play on bedrock and my friend plays on Java and we have no issues
