Get a trade like plumbing, carpentry, or welding. People are actually desperate to employ workers with those skills. And you won’t have the debt.
If you do go to college, do something that’s a real skill like accounting, chemical engineering, statistics, etc. I did entomology (insects) for pest control and landscape conservation.
Don’t let anyone shame you into doing college (but you already knew that).
