Prompt: The world has just about gone to hell. And it's all because of this man - Vergil. But strangely, while scavenging for food in the destroyed streets, you spot him fighting demons... the very demons he summoned to bring the world to an end. Your trigger finger's getting itchy, anyways. Might as well help out, then ask for answers.

Rules: No joke RP, ERP, joke OCs, etc. I suppose you can try romance, but Vergil's gonna flat-out ignore it ngl. This being Devil May Cry, dirty humor is okay (I guess), including the physical appearance of your characters (if they are female because girls get the DMC treatment and the men are all FABULOUS, I'm not gay I swear), as long as you're not going too far. More rules may be added as needed, but these are the ground rules. If you want to be a Canon character, you can be Dante, but you need to use an alt prompt (provided below).

Alt Prompt: It's one of those days - battling demons, saving people, the like. It's only the end of the world, nothing major. Except for one thing - your brother, Vergil, is under attack, by the very demons he summoned to end the world. Answers can wait though - for now, you may want to help (or mock) him.

It's a video game called Devil May Cry. I'll save you some time and abridge the backstory.

Vergil is the twin brother of one of the main characters. His brother is Dante. They are the sons of a human named Eva and a demon named Sparda. Sparda was known as "The Legendary Dark Knight," and served for millenia as the right hand man of the big bad, the Demon King Mundus. Sparda betrayed Mundus after he fell in love with Eva and she gave birth to his children, and sealed Mundus in the Underworld. Unfortunately, Eva died, and he had to send his children away to live among the humans. He died years later.

Dante is flamboyant, extra, chatty, and FABULOUS (I swear I'm not gay). He wears a red coat and uses guns along with swords to protect the humans, working as a paranormal bounty hunter out of his shop, Devil May Cry. Vergil is calm, strategic, and also pretty damn fabulous. He travels around, seeking enemies to defeat so he can gain more power and become stronger than his younger brother. The two have fought on multiple occasions, but have never successfully killed each other.

Vergil's overarching quest is to gain as much power as is possible, and he goes to extreme lengths to do so, even going so far as to cut off his son Nero's right arm to make his sword Yamato stronger, and settling him with a robot one. He hates humans, especially weak ones, but he hates Dante more. That being said, the two brothers have teamed up a few times to fight off evil more powerful than themselves.

That may seem like a lot, but this is about as condensed as I can get it.

(Aloerina is a girl who is half a plant and half a human she can grow vines from the ground and she can heal herself, she will turn into her poison form if a loved one is hurt/killed, she also has a plant friend called aloe [the plant on the top left on the pic])
*she seemed terrified, prepared to defend herself*
Aloerina: "wh-...what r u..?"

"To make a plan to save the world. And to arm ourselves. Have you ever seen a half-demon at full power?"

Aloerina: "full power? Don't tell me that yall have more power that could possibly destroy earth..."
Aloe: "we're soo done 😭"

"Relax. Vergil needs more power to unlock his form. I just need my sword."

*He drew his sword, and held it high above his head. In a flash of energy, he took a more Demonic form.*

(Dante is using his Sin Devil Trigger. This is a DMC5 AU)

Aloe: "0_0"
Aloerina: "*sighs* what's next?"

*He transformed back.*

"We get you armed up. Follow me."

*follows him*

*He led them ttoa room with lots of swords and guns.*

"Daaaaaamn" says Aloerina in surprise
Aloe: "I think that we need sm guns tbh"

"Well, you two had the displeasure of bumping heads with my brother, Vergil. He's the one who brought this hell down here. So, we gotta stop him."

*aloe whispers to Aloerina*
Aloe: "how do we tell him?😭"
Aloerina: "dw I got ts, ahem *to Dante* so...While we're talking, Vergil is building his army 😭"

"Yeah, I know. So we go to my shop. C'mon."

*He walked down an alley, and pulled out a giant bike.*

*they get soo amazed and surprised*
Aloerina: "w-wow, it looks soo cool!!" Says exited
Aloe: " r we going to ride it? Let's go!"

"Hop on!"

*He kicked the lever and it roared to life.*

*she hops on the bike, holding Aloe fearing that he would fall*
Aloerina: "woah, soo cool!"

"Hold on!"

*He revved it and pulled off, tearing down the street.*

*they both shout from happiness*
Aloerina: "WOOOO!! THIS IS CRAZY I LOVE IT!!"
Aloe: "AHHHHHHH!! 😭😭"
*well...maybe not aloe 😭*

*They soon arrived at a building. Dante drifted into an alley and shut the bike off.*

"Final stop: Devil May Cry!"

*He jumped off the bike and led the two inside his shop.*

"woooaaah" said Aloerina in surprise, and then she asks "why r we here again?"

"You going to help?"

*He slashed another demon, and it split in half before vanishing.*

"Here!"

*The man in blue tossed a sword towards her, before continuing with Yamato.*

(Yamato is his katana. The sword can be explained later. For now, know these things: It's name is Retribution and it has lightning-based powers)

*she backs off a bit*

Aloerina: "no thanks, I can count on myself, aloe doesn't feel safe with u"
Aloe: "I have a bad feeling about this..."

"Fine."

*He continued killing demons.*

*she thinks in her mind*
Aloerina: "If he spawned all those demons...why is he fighting them?"

*Soon, they were all dead. Vergil pulled his sword from the last demon's body, and sheathed it. He then turned to leave.*

*she spawns a vine field in front of him*
Aloe: "h-huh...?"
Aloerina: "what is this? Why r u doing this? u r the reason of them, or did u change the plan?"

"These idiots cannot listen to authority. They were made examples of."

*He crushed a demon corpse underfoot, its head exploding into gore on his boot.*

*she seems confused a bit and leaned her head*
Aloerina: "if they can't listen to ur orders and u don't need them, how r u gonna finish ur plan?"

"They will listen. Or they will die. But my plan will be completed."

*He drew his sword and sliced the air, creating a portal. He stepped through, and vanished.*

*she became surprised to hear his reaction*
Aloerina: "but what if all of them don't listen?"
Aloe: "we shouldn't worry about it for now, we have to worry about the demons and the innocents"

*The portal disappeared before Vergil responded.*

*Time passed. A few weeks, to be precise. Presently, a demon was stalking you, quietly. He was undetected.*

Aloe: "...a-aloerina...? I feel like we're being stalked..."
*then she looks around her but she finds nothing*
Aloerina: "strange..."

*The demon suddenly jumped out at them, screeching.*

*A gunshot.*

*The demon fell dead, slumped on the ground right in front of the two. More gunshots caused other stalkers to fall from their hiding spots. A man in a red trench coat flipped over them, and shot a final demon. He landed with a squelch as the first demon he had shot was crushed beneath him.*

(???) "Stalking ladies? Not cool."

Aloe: "WATCH OU-! Oh, who's that? Hello?"
Aloerina: "I could've defended myself but okay thanks, btw who r u?"

"Well, the earth is where I keep my things. As for how - don't really know. Just making it up as I go along."

Aloe: "well I think that someone who wears blue that we met has smth to do with this"

"Blue, eh? What else? White hair? Big scary katana? Aggravating stubborn?"
