Thank you for standing up for honesty. Too many parents fail to practice what they preach. They expect their kids to be honest with them, yet at the same they also don't really care if their kids lie to other people (and may even instruct them to lie to other people), and lie to their own kids by telling them Santa Claus delivers their Christmas gifts. And then they wonder why their kids don't take them seriously as teenagers.

I've always been honest with my boys. The good, bad and ugly truths. I'd rather be honest and let them learn from my mistakes ( or hope they do ) then make the same ones I did. They are grown now and have never been afraid to tell me anything. I believe that's how it should be with anybody.
