Facebook comes crawling back

Do the protections provided under the GDPR applying to Facebook users outside of Europe? Just curious.

I'm not completely sure so take this with a grain of salt, but the regulations don't technically apply outside of the EU, but Facebook still May comply with them in other countries just to make it simpler.
