Notes
1. The US has 7000 registered ISPs (Internet Service Providers) when you round it to the nearest reasonable number.
2. The population of the United States is approximately 335 million as of 2023.
3. There are a total of 1.1 billion websites across the public globe.
4. For every American ISP, there are almost 143000 websites.
5. The world population is almost 8 billion.
6. Therefore, if we were to assign two websites to everyone in the US, there would be perhaps 3-4 million websites left over.
7. If we divide the total of public websites by the world population, we can give every eight people (enough for a medium size friend group) a website with a few left over.
8. The DPRK is not included in these counts; but they have one (1) ISP that accesses 30 websites. If they were to be included in the count that would be one 36,666,666.666667th of the Internet. For comparison Rhode Island has little over one million people. Some states drop below 700000 residents.
