Well they're not real atheists. The fish would not be your "grandpa". An extinct species has gone through natural selection, and then the amphibous fish would split into frogs and fish, and the frogs would split into apes andn something else, and then the apes would split into humans and monkeys. If you want to call something "grandpa" then refer to a fish that is still alive.
