Oh my goodness. I love Family Guy! It's so funny! You know, not many folks would watch Family Guy for the great art, but Arianna here's making sure we can appreciate the talent and finesse it takes to draw even these sorts of shows. At first glance, the style of the cartoon is very rudimentary, almost crude, but what Arianna's drawing showcases is the subtleties and nuance it takes to even draw something like this. The spacing between the rails of the stairwell is perfect, almost as if she used a ruler or some form of ensurance. The straight lines and use of detailing on the radio system perfectly nail the details all while sticking to the comic-esque art style of the cartoon. Even Lois herself looks perfect. You know, stylised cartoons as this one appear to be almost as hard to perfect as realism in a different way. Realism strikes me as difficult because one wrong move and it'll look completely uncanny, but even this sort of cartoon must be done with such efficiency. Imagine if the line for Lois's forehead were at even a slightly different angle. It'd throw off the balance of her entire facial structure. And the placement of her large nose and her eyes. If anything, anything,was the slightest bit off-kilter, it'd throw the whole thing off. Cartoon line work is such an underapprecoated concept but Arianna proves time and again that she can nail it with ease no matter who or what she chooses.
