In the first Alien movie Ripley ignited the engine to blast the alien away from the shuttle, so it was moving through space. The Nostromo also exploded 3 times with what looked like nuclear detonations, so any debris should have been moving through space. But in Romulus we see a cocooned alien floating next to the stationary debris. Anyone directing a scifi movie should be required to have taken a physics class at some point.
