Makes sense. Given that during the song ''Hellfire'' Frollo was talking about how much he lusted for Esmeralda. Similarly, Stolas has an infamous history of lusting foir Blitzo to the point of abusing him throughout the entire show. Difference is that Frollo was written to be a villain and as such is treated as a villain in the movie. Meanwhile Stolas was originally meant to be a villain, but then they decided to make him a ''sympathetic'' hopeless romantic who turns out to have been in love with the imp he abused during the entire show.

I still do not get the abuse argument, like I could understand some of the stuff he said being technically mentally abusive, but it’s heavily implied that it’s just kind of a misunderstanding and he thought Blitz was into that. Also, he was only ment to be a villain in the non-cannon pilot, never in the real show

1. The pilot used to be canon before it was de canonized in 2023.
2. During the first season Stolas was portrayed as a villain, and this was during the time when the pilot was still canon.
3. It was never a misunderstanding. The relationship started as as a transaction where Stolas would allow Blitzo to use his grimoire in exchange for sex. It wasnt until the second season where his character was retconned out of the nowhere into a hopeless romantic. And tbh I preferred Stolas when he was portrayed as a villain.

It definitely wasn’t built up the best, but I wouldn’t call it a retcon either. Should’ve been more clear, but it’s not completely out of nowhere either

It WAS out of nowhere. you just don't make a villanious character who is only interested in sex only for then to turn said character into a hopeless romantic out of the nowhere or to appease twitter users and Wattpad fanfic writers.

Basically, Stolas starts talking about a ''Mastermind'', then yet again whines about being in love with Blitzo and then says he was the one who let Blitzo use his grimoire illegally. Then Satan started singing about how he is the law and how he supposedely used to rule hell before Lucifer (this is actually a lie, Vivziepop confirmed it), before then calling out Stolas for breaking demon laws.

Me neither, at this point am starting to feel like the creators are just making Stolas sing so that people feel bad for him despite the amount of messed up stuff he has done throughout the show.
