Words such as “he,” “she,” “I”, “me,” and more are all pronouns. They need pronouns so you can refer to someone as something, as using no pronouns is barely possible.
What it has come to mean are the made up words that people get offended if you do not use despite having just been made up. My personal favorites are Buh/Goff
