A few weeks ago, I tried to give user Eclipse. a 24 hour ban for the same offense and several other uses complained to Darth Swede.. Eclipse was unbanned and I was told not to ban anyone for a similar offense. You people can't have it both ways.

Hey, I read this. Yeah they can't have both ways but there's some difference between intended spam and blank images. Eclipse posted 6 blank images to make it look like he deleted all the post before going inactive. So it might not be worthy to even ban Eclipse when he went inactive.

Basically not a spam.

But the intended spam is something else, where certain user keeps posting same image to no limit. At first you should try to disapprove couple of images abd give first warning, if the user keeps spamming you can ban immediately for 8 or 24h. This is how I plan to work so maybe try this way and you probably won't be hated.

Eclipse posted 12 BLANK images, not 6. In addition, Memeus meme in question was posted less times and has an image and text. Everyone needs to be held to the same standard.

To put it simply, I tried to enforce the spam rule to the letter of the law. However, many users complained to Darth Swede because it was one of the friends, and my ban on the user involved was removed. I was then told not to ban anyone else for "Spam".
It's really quite simple, if one user's spam is tolerated, then it should be tolerated for all userd.

Keep in mind, it was initially only an 8-hour ban.

That's what happens when the stream rules are clouded by multiple exceptions and there are too many moderators who do not enforce the laws in question by the letter of the law.
