Read about Oswald's life and you'll see how he attempted to assassinate former Gen. Edwin Walker, a right-winger who ran for governor of Texas in 1962, just seven months before the Kennedy assassination. Oswald was determined to become somebody that the world would have to reckon with, and he got his unexpected opportunity when Marina Oswald's friend Ruth Paine got him a job at the Texas School Book Depository. The Dallas Morning News published the exact route that the Kennedy motorcade would take during his visit to Dallas, which Oswald used to his full advantage. Oswald was a lone wolf with big ambitions, and he realized them on Nov. 22, 1963.
