Longing and desire goes further than instant satisfaction.

I actually, in all seriousness, do quite enjoy educating myself on foreign cultures, their ways, even languages and traditions. In school I had this fascination with wanting to learn a lot of different languages; however that fell through pretty quickly upon realising how long it would take to learn each one, which I have no issue with but there was a lot in my plate at the time. I do know a decent bit of Spanish now though, and am versing myself in Italian!

That is wonderful. A thirst for knowledge and learning is admirable, too bad more people don't share that trait. I do remember you saying what happened while you were in school and of course it would change things.
How wonderful is that, that you can get along with some Spanish and now Italian! They're similar you know, then you could also pick up French later on because they all have Latin Roots.
I definitely know of a few French words that you know ;)

I agree completely. I mean we live in a society that's essentially the future, we can easily learn anything and know more than anyone who came before us, yet these resources are usually just used for selfish purposes, and there's nothing wrong w a bit of fun but like, take advantage of what you have. You have it for a reason. Yeah! Languages are fun. So beautiful. I love feeling new words roll off my tongue. Ahhh oui oui baguette?

Oh, this is beautiful. I'm such a poetry nerd - love the imagery in this one. It's so serene and calm yet filled with emotion at the same time. I love your taste.

Thank you! That means a lot especially since you also like poetry.
I'm sure you have great taste as well.

Aw, thank you. Yes, I love, love poetry. Not to come off as snobbish but I'm quite passionate about older poets that may've been lost to time. Fascinating to analyse the worlds of a different era and the experiences. Siegfried Sassoon. Excellent wartime poet. Also a huge Kurt Vonnegut fan. I know he's not really a poet, but his one poem is a truly thought-provoking piece. Requiem man. And of course. Shakespeare. The icon.

Oh, thank you. Wonderful that you know Sassoon! I've always loved poetry since secondary school.

I have lived it since junior high, and I can't say I am familiar with secondary school.

Ah. Ok. In the UK. primary school is the little kids, middle school is the older kids that aren't teens like preteens, and secondary school is the last four years, teenagers.
