It's hard to say. It's obvious that he wants de-escalation as much as the Dem Party's leadership -- for unknown reasons -- wants escalation. But Trump is only the president elect. It's possible that the leadership of the Dem Party will push us to that trembling brink of WWIII before Trump can even retake the oath of office and back everyone the hell down. So it's a question of timing.
