This is very much a turn-your-brain-off kinda game. But I’ll probably finish it.

Is it boring at times? Yes.

Do you have to hold the joystick forward for 5 minutes to get to a location? Yes.

Is the enemy AI so stupid that it doesn’t notice a deafening helicopter touch down on their base? Yes.

Is the dialogue cringe inducing, making you listen to YouTube videos while you play the game on mute? YES.

BUT HERE’S THE CATCH

Does it herald itself as a masterpiece of storytelling like Far Cry 3 or Horizon Zero Dawn do? No.

Does the game force you to climb towers so you can unlock more of the map? No.

Does it have 3rd person parkour? No (thank God).

Is stealth the main component of combat? No (THANK YOU GOD).

Is it trying to be anything more than it is? No.
Does it claim to be anything more? No.

It’s not even a good game, and I’m probably going to forget everything about it once I’m done with it.

But I’d rather play a forgettable game than play a terrible game that will be forever etched into my memory (Far Cry 3).

So at least it’s not THAT.
