My obvious answer would be Far Cry 2 even though I normally hate open worlds.

But another one is point-and-click games. Growing up I watched my sisters play the Nancy Drew series on PC. Now that I’ve played Shadow at the Water’s Edge myself, I actually really appreciate that game even though point-and-click isn’t normally my taste.
