I really did go into this wanting to like it. I had heard great things, but all I saw was a lifeless boring husk of a game.
I played as an elf mage, and the magic combat is awful. Was I supposed to play as a human rogue first? I don’t understand. You just stand in place casting spells until enemies die. There’s no skill to it.
I get it’s from 2009, so it won’t be a graphic powerhouse, but this game is ugly to look at. Character movement is beyond unnatural, and there’s no artistry to the environments. It also doesn’t help that every time you go enter a door there’s a loading screen. It gets very monotonous.
