One Weekend Only

Ah, this is Ted! I love those films. Completely forgot about them, but they're bloody hysterical. McFarlane is a comic genius and it's a shame much of the younger generations either take offense, because they can't appreciate the subtleties and satire in his humour, or are just frat boys who take it all at face value and just take it unironically. You know, even "dumb" comedy still takes a brain to appreciate. It's not intended to "make fun" or try to give ideas, it's literally poking fun at society itself and different trends and concepts that the writers notice. Like, "we've all known that person", sort of deal. As far as event planning, I never worked in that field before, but man, this applies to so many jobs it's not even funny. I'm sure by now you know we can both relate to it, but even in my past jobs, sleep has always been quite an elusive beast. Like, even at a bait-and-tackle shop, one still has to go home and practically do a whole ritual to remove the fishy smell from your sinuses. Doesn't leave you with a lot of time at night, especially if you fall asleep in the bath.

Ah, gotcha. Oh, fish stinks, man. I love eating it now, but if you'd've asked me then, I was on a no-fish diet, of any kind. It smells so bad! Everyone always came in with their fishing rods that they hardly bothered to clean. It's been years since then, though, and fish as a meal is a delight. Especially with sauces and light spices, it masks the fishy odour so nicely that I've come around to enjoying it again. There's a nice joint in Highlands, Jersey called Bahrs Landing. Their fish is some of the best I've had. Man, Jersey has some really good food. It's almost better than NY sometimes.

I do too, nowadays. Truly some of the best cuisine. Rollmop herrings were some of my favourites back home, but stateside, they're sorely underrated. I've had plenty of great dishes, though. I'm always down to try something new. Smoked mackerel is some of the best, and, call me a bit pedestrian, I'm a bit of a sucker for shrimp cocktail. Man, that always hits the spot. That doesn't mean I like it all, however. I tried lobster once on a date, and it sucks! I'm never doing that again.

I've e never had herring, and I can't say I've seen my husband eat it, but you never know 🤷🏻‍♀️ I love Smoked mackerel and shrimp cocktail is simply a classic! I love my cocktail sauce on the spicy side :)

Oh, you've simply got to try some sometime. Go on the European Deli Web site, they've lots of good stuff for sure man. Yeah, love mackerel and shrimp. Spicy? Oh man. I'm very particular about spices. Flavour is nice but too much spice makes my entire throat feel on fire! I try not to eat lots of spices especially when I'm at work on a project because I speak a lot during my job. Why the. Bloody hell do you like lobster? Haha probably because only a Yankees fan likes lobster. Listen. The only thing smaller than the chance of the Yanks winning tonight is the Yankees Stadium right field. Got it?

I will. We ordered the tea today! I mean a little extra horseradish in my cocktail sauce, just a little bit. I loves spices and flavors, not necessarily 🥵 spicy. I took speak quite a bit at work. I can see where that's a problem. Because cold water lobster is delicious! I've also had it grilled on a beach after scuba diving all day, with a nice cold beer, it was magnificent. That was in Belize.

Yes, it's sweet lobster and needs nothing. No butter or lemon but a touch doesn't hurt. Warm water lobster sucks as much as the Mets do 😜
I've never been to a Red Lobster. That is your problem right there, you have not experienced good lobster! Spain is beautiful, but the reefs in Belize are spectacular. It's all in good fun, the banter we do about it.

Yeah thanks. I hope so. Too. Fell alseep holding the phone. Dreamed of two things in one for some reason. Debating Kermit the Frog about cologne and then taking a motor boat ride. Man. Good stuff. I might try it if it's as good as the Mets. If it sucks as much as the Mets that means it's great ahha. Yeah maybe I should give lobster a second chance. Ooh I guess I gotta go to Belize sometime. I love seeing the world. I'd love to do a project there. Man you don't get it. Half the teams I said suck too and just the mere fact that they won just shows you how much the Yanks suck. Hey denoting moyot boating. I know I've said a lot about this but there's one limit. I only like them natural. Yeah. Too many girls out there with fakes but we can see right through that. Your only foling yourself. I respect anyone's choice, do it if it makes you feel better but if you're doing it for me you don't have to do that. I'd rather take them small than fake. Yeah some of those fakes are huge but they just don't look right you know? Something with the shape. The shapes off. They also don't move. Why get fakes? Also the upkeep is brutal on them so I've heard. Don't do that yourself unless you truly would feel better about it. Don't do it just to please me man. Natural beauty is the best kind and if that means you don't have mountains you're still more beautiful than you would be with fakes. Okay? Yeah just an observation.

I've fallen asleep w / phone once and had it hit the bridge of my nose! I awoke scared and cursed something awful! Well, a good debate never hurt anyone. There's nothing better than a good smelling frog, I mean man. ;) hopefully, it was good cologne.

Well, you know what. I think your family did well with your upbringing because no matter how tired you are a little or a lot buzzed or sleeppy you have nothing but respect when you speak of women. I love that.
All natural runs in my family, and definitely my husband loves my mountains, and my bum as you might say. I love my mountains too because they are not little, fake or weird. C mountains my husband's favorite type and all his 🥰

I would never change anything about myself or my husband. Quite happy with my God given gifts as is he🤣 hopefully, my daughter will be happy when she's done growing. One's self confidence also comes from their upbringing. I'd be just as happy if I didn't have any, but that wasn't God's plan. You have a good head on your shoulders.

Really, better than New York!? Interesting 🤔

Sometimes. Depends on where you go. New York has some of the best food in the states, and, as highly as I speak of Texas, much of their food sort of sucks. They're great at fast food, but there's not much in the way of fine dining unless you know exactly where to look. That being said, New York is almost oversaturated with all sorts of restaurants down every block, so if you want a quick bite, it's easy to find something good, but if you just want to relax and unwind, maybe take in a good view, escape the hustle for a bit, it's always worth a drive to Jersey, especially by the sea. My nieces watches that blasted show Jersey Shore, which, despite me only having watched once against my will with her, hardly does the state any justice. Sure, the people are pretty much exactly as pictured (besides the true diamond in the rough, my darling Arianna), but the cuisine and views are something else, man.

That comes as a surprise about New Jersey. I love the food in New York all the different ethnic foods and it's true about food everywhere there. And think so much hunger in the US and the world, and waste too. I love the sea, the ocean is where my heart gets rejuvenated. Here where we live the ocean is great. Awww, you speak so tenderly about the young artist, it's quite beautiful. We hate fast food! Don't really care for it. I have a client from Texas that says everything there is fried and has a cream or gravy on it. I like my food clean, don't get me wrong, nothing like a good burger, hot dog or a sub, but better yet an Italian sandwich than fast food.

Yeah, you've been there? New York rules. Ever been to Mari Vanna? One of the best spots. Yeah, New York has stuff from all over the world man. You name a country they have it. It's better than Epcot at Disney. Real food man. Oh, yes. I pity those who don't have access to food or anything to help sustain a life. Since coming into my mofe ssuccessful job actually I quite like researching honest charities and making anonymous donations every now and then. Not trying to get credit or anything, nobody knows who it's from, but just knowing that I'm helping out really warms my heart. UNICEF. Support the kids in Gaza. Oh, I love the ocean too. Love the beach. Right now my job is beach man. Love it. Hey, don't knock it til you try it man. I've been to the Houston Rodeo once or twice. Saw Jonas Brothers and Panic at the Disco with my niece. I used to visit her in TX more often before I got my traveling job. Yeah burgers rule. Dirty water dogs though? Man. You gotta try that sometime. They rule. Oh Italian sandwiches. Love Jersey Mike's and Fat Shack.

As a matter of fact we have been to Mari Vanna! What a lovely establishment, the ambiance inside is nice and from the outside it's so quaint. If I remember I had the black cod and my husband enjoyed the lamb, we each had an appetizer and mine was artichokes, I love them, but I can't remember his 🤔 I will leave you my friend with something you might not have noticed...

Oh, that's lovely! It is truly a beautiful eatery. Oh man... What the hell? Oh, man... That's kismet if I ever saw it in action. Oh, man. Holy Jesus. See? Goes to show you, anything with this combination of letters in it is the epitome of Earthly beauty. Maybe if she ever finds herself in the area... Oh, if only. I can only wish. Oh, man!

Crazy, right? Speaking of food, I forgot to mention Saturday morning, when I woke up and had some alone time, I made soft-boiled egg and soldiers, which, hilariously, before you told me, I thought meant sausages! I always cut my toast like that, so I've actually been making soldiers all my life. Who knew? However, it was very yummy, and I had a little bit of fresh fruit. I'm the only one in my family that enjoys soft-boiled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, omelettes... My brood enjoys the French toast, waffles, oatmeal, which I also love... I'm the only egg person, so it's the only time I ever get to make something for just me. If it's with veggies, I like to sautee them first, before they go into the omelette, and I like to cook my omelette and flip it. I just take my time. It's like your friend creating her art. I do that with my breakfast when it's just for me, me and my eggs! I should be a farmer of chickens! I should have a chicken farm, I love eggs so much, but not every day.

P.S. I am sure Felicity thinks about her school crush, too, if she liked you back. I don't really know. You seem like a nice guy, and, definitely, as you say, you appear to be a romantic, so if you liked her and she liked you, I'm sure you're in her thoughts now and again, and your current love is very lucky, as are you, I'm sure, but she to have such a nice young man that is so respectful of women. I'm sure that you are very happy and gentle with her. I'm also sure you guys kid around. She needs to have a sense of humor if she's to be with you! I wonder if she's a Yankees fan, unless she's also from England. Then, she may not know about baseball unless you taught her to hate the Yankees!

Oh, nice! Glad you enjoy it. See? What'd I tell you? It's a classic. Dippy eggs are the best, but I can appreciate any sort. Sunny side up is another go-to, as is egg rougaille. Oh, fresh fruit is a delight. Strawberries, dragonfruit, grapefruit, honeydew, and clementines are staples in my household, but I'm pretty sure I like every fruit I've tried. I'm not choosy. It's nature's candy! Haha, love the chicken farm! Maybe you'll be a more successful farmer than the Yankees are as a team!

P.S. Oh, Felicity. You see, we met beginning of 5th year. Super cute, brainy brunette, had just gotten glasses as well, but felt bad about them. I think glasses are cute on a girl. I tried to tell her hey, it's okay. You're beautiful. I think she appreciated my friendship, and we were good chums for a bit, but she just got more insecure, falling in with the wrong crowd and such. Tried to hide everything that made her who she was. Tried to walk around without her glasses, pretending she didn't really need them, but was too clumsy to keep up the act for long. Such a beautiful girl tainted by her peers. Eventually, she decided I was too much of a dork to hang around for long, and although we spoke in private, she confided in me her every feeling, I was never allowed with her "other" friends, the girls, who weren't my biggest fans either. Eventually, she went off 6th year with some football player boy and never acknowledged me again. I had quite a few crushes throughout my school years, and even two short-lived secondary school girlfriends, but one was just using me to help her do her homework and the other, we did a school play together in which we even shared my first kiss, but then she flat-out told me, in text no less, that I was being delusional and it was just for the acting, which really broke my heart, as she was, again, quite beautiful. Beautiful curls like Arianna. I've always seemed to like girls more than they liked me, but I am pretty happy with my college sweetheart, thanks for asking. Yes, she's a darling. Real diamond in the rough. Likes me for me. Another big dork, haha! Worked at my college for a bit, did some projects together, but graduated from Columbia magna cum laude. Yes, I taught her baseball, haha, and she's with me - the Yankees suck!

P.S. Hope the anniversary goes well. Any couple at their Golden Anniversary is only on an upward trajectory. They must be happy as clams, haha!
