To me it makes sense why Trump would pretend to work at a McDonald's on a day it's not actually open and serving customers with guards surrounding the area. If it were on any other day the restaurant is actually open it would give anyone who wants to assassinate him and opportunity to do it at a very public place. Trump wasn't even safe on his own golf course.

Nobody gets within a 100 yards of these high profile characters unless intended...which means extensive security background and arrival checks.
