People don't want to really treat furries like animals. The ''treat furries like animals'' thing is just a joke that is made for mockery and not meant to be taken seriously.

There is a big difference between saying ''furries want to be animals, then we shall treat them like animals'' and actually dehumanizing people irl. And if people really where treating furries like if they where animals then they woudnt be talking to them in the first place, since humans don't talk to animals.
