I love dnd. I once heard of a character idea where your character is a bear and all their points are in deception and persuasion, and so they pick up Basic along the way and convince everyone they're human.

I highly recommend A Crap Guide to DND. It perfectly explains the stereotypes of certain classes(bard intensifies) and why every class is "the best of the best" while not actually explaining much except for ELDRITCH BLAST
