Even if we secretly give them money they won't take enough votes from the Democrats to change the outcome of any elections. 1: No we won't do it secretly; we'll do it blatantly. 2: What's the point of that? 1: It'll turn the center against the left. The progressives won't fall for it, but the liberals will. It gives them an excuse to scapegoat the left for any electoral losses, so they don't have to examine their own behavior. 2: Oh I see what you mean. Good idea. Let's do that!
