Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying the kindness to others rather than paying it back to the original benefactor; This concept has existed throughout the ages. It is recorded to have first surfaced in 317 BC when the Greek playwright Menander wrote a play called Dyskolos.
