What does it mean if someone is being ornery?
ornery: bad-tempered, difficult
adjective. If you describe someone as ornery, you mean that they are bad-tempered, difficult, and often do things that are mean; I always thought it was more like "mischievous", not necessarily "mean"; You really do learn, and/or re-learn, something new every day
