My mom always made our costumes. Looking back, they were so much better than the plastic ones from the store. But the plastic ones were what we really wanted. That and colored spray paint for our hair so we could be punk rockers. lol.
Wow! That was a cool costume! As you can see, I actually wore one of those costumes like in the meme. (To my embarrassment😄). It was 1974 in this pic. I was only 4.
My dad showed me a picture of him and his siblings wearing those. They looked like robbers, or serial killers. But the only thing my dad killed when he was sugar coated cereal. ( sorry for the bad joke)
