A fun fact I picked up earlier: Someone Saved My Life Tonight by Elton John was written about a friend who prevented him from committing suicide. He considered it as his spouse was becoming harmful and toxic to him; yet, the friend (who he nicknames Sugar Bear in the song) helped him, and quickly after Elton was stable he wrote the song in gratitude of his friend.
