I've never played any actual horror games myself before, but I have seen a trailer for this one called Forgotten. It looks like it's supposed just be the general vibe that's scary rather than the gameplay, it probably has some dark lore, idk, I haven't actually played it yet, but it doesn't look like it has any jump scares, or only a few. I watched the trailer some years ago, but I remember this one line it said. "Hold onto your memories before they are forgotten."

Didn't mean to hit post comment that soon, meant to add that it's apparently about the experience of having dementia. I don't know too much about dementia myself, though, so I don't entirely understand the concept, but the full title of the game is literally just Forgotten: The Game, figured I'd put that since there are so many other steam games with a name that includes "Forgotten" in it. If you want to do a little digging on it, it's the one with the fox emblem.

please dont call me a sissy but like, the ONLY horror game I've played that actually gives me goosebumps in any way is doors, and its just the overall vibe that make it like that, not actually scary

There is this one horror game that I think is called "Into The Mind" or something. Imagine a game that saw the Urban Spook Analog horror, made it into a game, turned it up to fifty and made it good. I won't spoil anything but it's horrific.
