You can't blame it all on movies. People said bad words in the past long before movies were even invented. Also, you can't reliably track how often people say "bad words" over time, because to analyze every word ever spoken or written in a given area over a given timeframe would violate the Fourth Amendment, and because we can't come up with a list of "bad words" that everyone agrees upon. Words that seem perfectly wholesome to most of us can be offensive in some subcultures. For example, zoo workers are morally opposed to saying "cage", instead using the nicer term "enclosure" to describe where their animals are held.
