This is adorable! True to her classic fashion, this looks like something that would make a beautiful cover for a child's book. It is enchanting. The contrasting demeanor, ages, body types, and aesthetics of the two fairies is something one would have to very cautious about, especially when putting them in the same scene together, but, as always, she skillfully shared with us a scene with two fairies who are different enough yet go perfectly together in the same scene. Are they a big sister and a little sister? Are they neighbors? Friends? Maybe even strangers who had a chance encounter? The timid nature of the green-wearing one is a perfect foil to the assured, yet still kindly appearance of the purple-wearing one. The perspective of the scene is lovely, too. Fantastical perspectives can't be easy, especially since none of us are tiny enough to be able to sit under a mushroom and draw that sort of thing from experience, but rather than just drawing a large mushroom, she carefully showed us even the underside of the pileus, showing us just how wee the fairies truly are. I know they are fictional characters, but still, I wish I could scoop them up into my pocket and get to speak with them about what their life as fairies is like. That's how lovable they are to me.
