I blame the disaster that was Vatican II for all this leftist hatred toward Christianity in general. It started coming out in the open after V-II absolutely gutted the Catholic Churches inside the United States. I remember one former priest saying the breaking point for him was during the late 1970s when a superior ordered him to wear clown make-up and costume to deliver a mass for children. Naturally Christianity hating leftists . . . cheered.
