Cool hub area on the plane instead of a main menu. Only problem is you can’t restart the game or create a new save file. I had started the game last year and put it away for a while because I wasn’t ready. But now I am and I have to catch up on what I remember.
The hub world reminds me of the hub in Black Ops 2 and Cold War. You choose your load out, you pick missions out of order, and you upgrade gear and your plane throughout the story with money you earn.
I don’t know much about Splinter Cell’s overarching story, but the looming threat of a blacklist makes the tension ever present. The stealth is great, and I’m just glad it’s not an open world. This game is better WITHOUT one because it allows you to go to multiple locations throughout Asia, America, and the Middle East by choosing it in your hub. Can’t do that with an open world.
