When you say "the film" are you referring to the original 1976 version, the 2002 made-for-TV remake, or the 2013 cinematic remake?
The only version I have personally seen is the 1976 version, and the last time I saw it was back in 2003. I've also read the book. In the years since, I have been thinking that a good idea for a cinematic crossover would be to pit Carrie White against Neo from The Matrix. Both characters are telekinetic, so I think having them fight each other would be quite a showdown.
While all three Carrie films have been distributed by MGM in the United States, and all Matrix films and games have been distributed by Warner Brothers in the United States, over in the United Kingdom, Warner Brothers has distributed the original 1976 version of Carrie on VHS. Given that relationship, maybe MGM and Warner Brothers could join forces and make this crossover happen.
