WE GOT IT WORKING, BOYS

I say I got it working when I mean I can just play the game at a stable framerate (30fps). That Steam Deck fan is still whirring like there’s no tomorrow, but there’s no stuttering.

This is after I uninstalled it and reinstalled to try again with Proton Experimental. For some reason, the official controller layout isn’t applied to your Steam Deck until you manually choose it in the controller settings before launching the game. In fact, there are NO controller settings before you do this. I’ve never seen this before with any game. How do you mess that up?

But yeah. Successfully completed the first chapter. Hopefully we won’t face any more problems in the future. You can tell this was made by the same studio behind Spyro. Let’s just hope it isn’t nearly as annoying as Spyro.

By absolutely no means should this game be considered Steam Deck verified.

Because people will go into this doing what I did, and crashes, high CPU temperatures, steam overlay freezing? This can actually harm your hardware if it’s taken to the extreme. I know this because when I was playing Dead Space, CPU and GPU temperatures went up to 90 degrees Celsius. Just shy of boiling water!!!!!!!

It got so hot that a button’s wiring short-circuited, causing drift until I sent the device back to Valve to fix it.

Can’t wait to see how Judgment performs on the Steam Deck because that’s ALSO considered verified. What a joke.
