Actually my choir is doing a song about wasting time and how fast it moves along, and it shows the degradation of the metronomic quality of the song implying time is broken

And then the grandfather clock clicks

I concur, that is a particularly distressing one
Theres little you can do about it and wallowing in sorrow surely won't help, perhaps just try to use it as a motivator to try to live fully. Pay more attention to the now and ensure that the little things dont pass you by.

I do that, BUT THE WORLD IS BAD AND WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE

yeah, sure we're gonna die, but we're living on borrowed time anyways lmao.

feel lucky you get to be alive at all, because you are. even if it is short.

and anyways, while yeah the world is mostly bad, there are various little things that are worth seeking because of the joy it may bring. listening to music, doing art, hobbies, and maybe the select few individuals that arent completely crazy and stupid.

Life is good. I love life. But when people asked me: would you be immortal and invincible if you could?, my answer was always yes. I dont care if everyone else dies. I just want to LIVE

I agree with this sentiment on one condition. I get to end my life whenever I want.

Sure, i would love to be immortal for a while. But after i've done everything i could possibly do, since yk, immortality is INFINITE, i would want to rest. Infinite boredom and like floating through space forever is torture
