Personally I’m agnostic, I think believing that a god or gods even exist is kind of a delusion of grandeur although we can never really know for certain
The Bible and all mythology was created by people. People are not perfect and will happily lie and coerce their own kind. They may also have been confused or hallucinating from drugs.
I agree about that. I don’t think mythology was created for bad reasons though, I think cultures just started making stuff up that they felt aligned with what they already knew about the universe because we like being logical and like trying to attribute meaning to things
Mythology is different than religion, I guess
Religion is more coercive, mythology is more "these weird events had to come from someone. Who plans our universe?" Also perhaps magic and sorcery were existent back then and we've lost it to science. Idk
Mythology was our imagination and our legitimate belief
Religion is our belief so as not to experience punishment
In Norse mythology for example your death is more nuanced than good or bad
You can be a bad person and end up in some chambers as an afterlife (although I think there were finer accommodations for the better of the dead)
You can engage in combat and go to Valhalla
You can spend your afterlife in some sweet relaxing fields when you're a laid back person
You can spend your days in a frosty hell if you're the worst
i remember 4.5 years ago (that long ago? dang.) my freinds called me gay jokingly.
i at the time didnt know what it meant.
so i looked in the dictionary to find two defninitons
• someone who is constantly happy
• homo-whatever (i didnt know what the word meant so i asumed it was acidic or radioactive)
because i didnt understand the second definition i said, "sure! im always happy"
in time i have grown to swap the definion that i am. (lucky for me i am now both definions)
Okay, so, for the purpose of simplicity we shall assume that everyone who is not in binary gender is a separate umbrella gender.
Then. You're one third attracted to your gender, the opposite gender and the genders that are neither.
