The older I get, the more I like and understand science. It used to seem chaotic and I couldn't "see" through it like I could with math. I wonder if autism changes as our brains age?
It does change over time. We are now seeing autists as they age, and the first person experiences do show that autism changes over time. Neuroplasticity is a thing for neurodiverse folks as well as neurotypicals.
Hmm. Interesting. Nerve damage in the brain can also cause rerouting of synapses. This would lead to new electrical connections in the brain. Weakness in one area can lead to new strength in another area.
