One of our other friends on Discord (his user is Cheese) knows her in real life. She hadn't responded for a while, and I was getting worried, so I asked the server if anyone knew if she was safe (she was in North Carolina). Cheese, seeing an opportunity, played a prank on me by claiming (rather unceremoniously) that she had died in the hurricane. Since I have depression, you can see how this would backfire.
