And many do, but since each makes truth claims, only one can be correct..or none of them. That is where taking the time to seek the true God should be of paramount importance to each of us. It's possible, one could suppose, that sitting on a fence between belief and unbelief might allow a person to 'cover all bases', but this is a binary choice.
Believe that we are all sinners.
That we cannot do anything to bridge the gap back to God on our own.
That God, in the form of Jesus the Christ, entered into humanity as a baby in Bethlehem.
Lived a sinless life.
Suffered and died a horrific death nailed to a cross while shedding His blood.
Took the burden of our sins upon Himself on that cross to pay the penalty for our sins against God.
And was raised from death, defeating the devil's attempts to drag us all to the lake of fire with him.
