Tibetans are being persecuted for their beliefs. They can be arrested simply for owning photographs of the Dalai Lama or celebrating his birthday; Why do extremist think they are exempt from such persecution? Inside Chinese prisons, they can be beaten and tortured. Chinese authorities have subjected monks and nuns to ‘patriotic re-education' & police stations have been opened inside or next to monasteries. The Chinese Communist Party says it plans to select the next Dalai Lama—a means to control & minimize the Tibetan reincarnation tradition.
