Gnoticism is too dualistic for me. I don't believe "matter" has been defined completely enough to distinguish it from "spirit."

Have you read many ancient Gnostic texts? Have you compared them to other books in standard bible? How about folklore and supernatural events that can be explained within gnosticism? Quantum Physics also goes well with gnosticism, especially the Quantum field as a prayer/collective subconscious venue. Dualistic seems two dimensional.

I think there was a great disservice to humanity when the bible only included certain text that promoted the agenda of monarchs. There is so much more to ancient judeo-christian history and spirituality that was not included. My favorite book in the standard bible is "Hebrews." The Gnostic text, "The Secret Book of John," freaked me out because I could see where the standard bible is lacking.

And..why do we need to distinguish matter from spirit? our existence is physical, emotional, intellectual/cognitive, and.spiritual: body/mind/spirit. We can't afford to dismiss any aspect of our existence. Have you watched "What the bleep down the rabbit hole?"
