I agree only because this is a thing:

Summoner has the least defense but the highest DPS of any other class (aside from Melee), and Summoner completely shreds bosses.

The fastest time I defeated a boss was as a Summoner and defeated Wall of Flesh in just 15 seconds.

Personally my playstyle is Melee+Mage multiclass

I'm a diehard Summoner and multiclass player, mainly because I'm a psychopath lol

The only thing holding your "fact" is the stardust guardian.

Summoner is undoubtedly the best class because of its huge DPS and whip stacking and speed, which makes it the best class to tear down bosses and plow through enemies.

People argue Summoner is bad due to its incredibly low defense and how difficult it is to control, but dodging exists for a reason, and not only that but you don't need defense if you've got insane damage and high crit to take down enemies with ease.

Wym stardust guardian build like that, he can definitely hold things up

Stardust Guardian is one of the best minions Summoner class has to offer aside from Stardust Dragon, yes, but the accessories you equip as said class builds up the damage input and the max minion size/slot.

Necromantic Scroll is great with the class, and little players know this, but Flask of Nanites combined with a whip and a good number of minions is really good for dealing with invasions.
