For context, the upper comment comes from a video by youtuber Athena P, where she tried to defend the Bowser x Lugi ship. She basically tried to use the "muh consent" fallacy in her video, ignoring the biological issues interspecies diddling has. In the video she also tried to compare the crossspecies romances of Bojack Horseman with the Luigi x Bowser thing. The difference is the Bojack Horseman had an in-universe justification for its romances, which was that all anthromorphic creatures in that universe where the same species and could even have viable offspring. Whereas the Mario movie setting does not have that jutification. But what angered me the most was that she upvoted that Harkness Test comment, basically admitting she wants to justify any innapropriate interspecies diddling in fiction she sees. She is literally simplifying bestiality and its issues to justify problematic cross species diddling. Am not saying people cant ship anything they want, nor that everything has its time and place. But when it comes to cross species diddling you have to have limits. Her upvoting this comment just proved that our society is falling apart.

But she is wrong about consensual bestiality and the issues cross species diddling has. Cant believe she would be in favor of Superman diddling Scooby Doo 😔😔😔. Am not saying interspecies romances are inherently bad. But a lot of them are wrong for good reason, and when it comes to that you have to have limits. This woman, based on how she upvoted the comment of that vile "test", and the fact that she is a fan of kids shows with animal characters on them, is rather concerning. Who knows what type of cursed cross species diddling is she gonna defend next. People can ship whatever they want, but that dos not justify moralizing innapropriate inter-species diddling. And btw the comments under that hark test comment are just as bad if not worse. Also the people there are hypocrites.

Also ironic how she says that inter-species shipping is fine because its "fictional" but then says that shipping non-sapient nonhumans is bad even though its also fictional too. Either you let people ship whatever they want or don't ship at all. Hypocrisy at its finest. And again stuff like the romances in Bojack Horseman have an in universe justification, whereas Mario does not. Cant believe that a "wholesome" youtuber would go down this dark path. And tbh I wouldnt have a problem with her bowuigi take if she tried to use an in universe justification rather than that "harkness test". Thats just reveals the type of person she is.

I get what they're trying to say, but it still doesn't justify zoophilia/interspecies relationships. Why are they even considering this at all?

Read my comments to get more info. Some interspecies romances can be justified with an in-universe justification. Others with biological rules of their world. And sometimes their made for jokes. But the fact that this people are simplifying bestiality and its issues and have no or barely any standards for interspecies mingling shows how much influence the dark side of the furry fandom is having on society and our views on the quality of things. And as Bandopede stated, the fact that Scooby Doo passes that awful Test confirms that its not a good measurement of morality or biology. People need to learn to keep their weird fetishes to themselves and stop defending problematic elements in fiction.
