This is no joke. I filed an extension for my 2023 Fed tax til Oct., and I STILL haven't filed, but received a notice from the IRS wanting to have an intake session with me re: the 1099 form that was issued when I sold a rental property that year ! (BTW, I am just a retired middle class schmuck)

Guess they've already run out of 1% ers
